We are now looking for businesses that want to develop their operations with a focus on sustainability and become part of the <strong>Sustainability Commitment for Businesses initiative<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The initiative aims to engage more participants in the work toward a sustainable J\u00f6nk\u00f6ping County and accelerate sustainable development. It is an opportunity for businesses that want to make a difference \u2013 both for their own operations and for society. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">About the Initiative <\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Sustainability Commitment for Businesses is part of the county\u2019s efforts to achieve Sweden\u2019s environmental goals and the global Sustainable Development Goals in Agenda 2030. This initiative focuses on the environment and climate, although actions often have positive synergy effects across multiple sustainability areas. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Businesses that wish to participate select one or more commitments within the following areas:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Systematic Environmental and Climate Work<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Climate<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Energy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Climate Adaptation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Circular Economy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Biodiversity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You choose one or more commitments to work on over the next two years. For each selected commitment, you identify activities you want to implement. To assist you, we recommend actions that are proven to have an impact.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Financial Support for Implementation<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By participating, your company can receive support to develop its sustainability work in the environmental and climate areas.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Launch Event \u2013 January 29, 2025<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Join the launch of the Corporate Sustainability Commitment on January 29 at 1\u20133 PM to learn how your company can become part of this initiative!   <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/ACoAAAIB14wBzKFoR5rAcW_KOlRslH-VkjSvsec\"><\/a>The event will feature <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/nina-ekelund-b2433bb\/\">Nina Ekelund<\/a>, Secretary General of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/hagainitiativet\/\">Hagainitiativet<\/a>, who will inspire participants on the vital role businesses play in transitioning to a sustainable society. <\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/www.almi.se\/kunskap-och-inspiration\/kalender\/?eventid=383344\">I want to register!<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Organizers <\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The initiative is a collaboration between the County Administrative Board of J\u00f6nk\u00f6ping County, Almi F\u00f6retagspartner J\u00f6nk\u00f6ping, and the Sustainability Team, which runs the CSR Sm\u00e5land network.
