Forserum Safety Glass (FSG) is a glass foundry that develops and produces products of refined flat glass, and manufactures products such as safety goggles, safety glass and fire glass. As the name suggests, the company is located in Forserum, Småland.
The need
Forserum Safety Glass turned to Hållbarhetsteamet as they felt they wanted to move forward with their strategic work for sustainable development. They saw the need to structure the sustainability work, and create good working methods and routines to easily implement sustainability throughout the business.
The mission
In 2020, our Team assisted Forserum Safety Glass (FSG) in the development of active and ambitious sustainability work in the organization. The task was carried out in the form of current situation analyses, training, workshops and coaching of the management team, especially the organization’s management team. During the workshops and coaching, many issues arose that generated new / developed working methods and increased clarity in the organization’s working methods. During the work, the entire organization was also involved and at the sustainability training with all employees, there was a lot of commitment among the staff.
The result
The work resulted in:
- a clarified structure for the governance of the activity
- high commitment and developed cooperation throughout the organization
- a new way of thinking and an ambitious approach to sustainability
- an audited and verified management system according to ISO 26 000, with a very good opinion from the auditor.
