In the fall of 2022 and early spring of 2023, we at Hållbarhetsteamet have carried out a climate assessment for Separett. Thank you for the trust!
The need
Separett AB is a family-owned company that for over 40 years has developed waterless toilet solutions with the aim of increasing the quality of life, facilitating everyday life and making it more comfortable for everyone. Separett AB was founded in 1976 and today their products are used all over the world with a branch in Finland and subsidiaries in the USA.
In order to create even more value for customers and stakeholders, Separett saw the need to be able to show the climate impact of its operations. Hållbarhetsteamet was therefore tasked with carrying out the company’s first climate assessment.
The mission
Representatives from Separett attended a training on climate assessments held by Patrik from Hållbarhetsteamet in early summer 2022. After that, the task got underway, and Separett was given access to the right tools to be able to collect relevant data. Once the data was collected, our Team took the work further by performing calculations, reviewing the results and preparing a climate assessment report. The task ended with a final presentation, where Separett was given access to the results and the conclusions drawn.
The result
For Separett, the climate assessment means that they can now see what they should start working on changing, and which measures should be prioritized. The point of a climate assessment is not to interpret the result literally, but rather to gain an understanding of where emissions are greatest. More importantly, if carried out regularly in future years, climate projections provide a basis for measuring and demonstrating change and emission reductions.
Furthermore, the results can also be used in communication with customers, which facilitates the dialog between Separett and customers. This increases the added value of the offer, and helps the customer choose the right one.
The work and communication with Hållbarhetsteamet has worked well throughout, which has facilitated the work from both sides. We are satisfied with the result, and now know in black and white what we should work on and change.
